Leather Crafting guide 1-99

This is my first crafting guide and this is how to get your crafting from 1 to 99 only using leather or hard leather crafting.

First lets start with where you should be doing this crafting training.

You should be just north of Taverley in the cow fields. This location is better than the Lumbridge cow fields because it is very close to a leather tanner who will also buy your goods off you.

It is also very close to a bank with the closest one being just north in Burthorpe.

Leather

For levels 1-7 you should make leather gloves. You will need to make 48 leather gloves to get to level 7, all of which you can sell to the tanner.

For levels 7-9 you should make leather boots. You will need to make 20 leather boots which you can again sell to the tanner.

For levels 9-11 you need to make leather cowls. You will need to make 20 leather cowls to reach level 11.

For levels 11-14 you can make leather vambraces. 35 of these will need to be made in order to reach level 14.

For levels 14-18 you need to make 57 leather bodies. This will then allow you to make leather chaps.

For levels 18-19 you should make leather chaps. You will have to make 17 of them.

For levels 19-25 you could make leather shields. This will then allow you to start crafting hard leather.

Hard Leather

To craft hard leather you need to have some thread on you. This takes up an inventory space but does save you from running to the bank to craft your items. You will want to buy lots of thread just in case you run out.
To tan hard leather you need to have 3gp per hide that you tan. This is not too bad because you only need 81gp as the selling of the hard leather will raise more than 81gp to every time you complete a full pack.

For hard leather there are two different ways of getting to 99. You can either craft the highest leather item possible until you reach 99 or you could stop at hard leather boots. If you stop at hard leather boots and just make them until 99 then you will make a massive profit as you can sell each pair of boots to the tanner for a massive 300gp each. That's 8100gp per inventory or, if you can one hit the cows, 150,000gp per hour. Along with 17000 crafting exp per hour this really is the best method of crafting leather until 99.

For levels 25-27 you need to craft 59 hard leather gloves. This will allow you to make hard leather boots.

For levels 27-99 you will need to craft 383080 hard leather boots. This will give you a profit of 114,923,700gp or 114 Million gp.

For levels 27-28 you will need to craft 33 hard leather boots. I don't know why you are doing this method unless you have too much money to spend in the first place.

For levels 28-29 you should craft 35 hard leather bodies. This method is only a little bit faster, I still don't know why you are still doing this...

For levels 29-99 you will need to craft 361734 hard leather shields which is only 22,000 less than the hard leather boots. When you have crafted that many hard leather shields 22,000 will seem like nothing anyway.
